Aska: An IPL betting racket was busted in Odisha’s Ganjam district with the arrest of three persons from Aska.
Those arrested have been identified as Ajay Gauda, Binod Parida and Krushna Swain from Pakela Palli village under Aska police limits. They were acting as agents and investing money collected from people on online IPL betting.
Police seized Rs 1,27,450 in cash, five mobile phones and documents related to IPL from their possession.
Preliminary probe shows that punters from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam are also involved in the betting racket and more arrests are likely in the coming days, sources said.
