Bhubaneswar: The fourth Operation Ganga flight, carrying 198 Indian nationals evacuated from war-torn Ukraine, took off from Romania’s Bucharest to New Delhi on Sunday.
The third flight with 240 Indian nationals, which departed from Hungarian capital Budapest, is also scheduled to return with evacuees to Delhi this evening.
Earlier today, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had welcomed the second group of 250 Indian nationals from Ukraine, who arrived at the Delhi airport from Bucharest on a special Air India evacuation flight. Scindia went inside the aircraft and handed them roses.
The first flight from Romania carrying 219 Indian students had reached Mumbai on Saturday evening.
A total of 469 Indian nationals have so far been evacuated from Ukraine, out of which 250 landed in Delhi and 219 in Mumbai.
