Orientation Programme Of New Pharmaceutical Students Organised At SOA In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: An orientation program was organised for the newly admitted students in the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS), faculty of pharmaceutical sciences of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

Prof Debajyoti Das, Additional Dean of SPS explained about career opportunities in pharmacy to the students while Prof Pratap Kumar Sahu, Deputy Dean, urged them to develop respect for the profession for their career growth. The newly admitted BPharm and MPharm students, their parents, dignitaries and faculty members were present.

The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the courses, rules and regulations of the institute and involve parents in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.

Prof Subrat Mallick, Head of Department of Pharmaceutics and Prof Durga Madhab Kar, Head of Department of Pharmacology, also addressed the students. The programme which was conducted by Dr Shakti Ketan Prusty and Prof Anindya Bose offered vote of thanks.
