Cuttack: Following a Union Home Ministry advisory, the Orissa High Court has decided not to use Zoom videoconferencing.
The court has intimated its decision to the High Court Bar Association, all officials of the court, additional registrar-cum-principal secretary to the Acting Chief Justice, all secretary to thejJudges, Advocate General, Odisha, to exclude any reference to Zoom application from its purview.
On April 16, the Home Ministry had advised people against using the popular videoconferencing app. It had earlier barred using the app for government meetings and officials.
The advisory came after the national cyber security agency — Computer Emergency Response Team of India (CERT–in) — flagged the cyber vulnerability of the popular app, currently being used by tens of thousands of professionals working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
