Cuttack: The Orissa High Court will resume work from May 13, officials said on Thursday.
The court was closed on May 2 and 3 in view of the IMD forecast about the extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani. The High Court premises along with the district court and Bar Association campus sustained damage as strong winds swept across the city leaving behind a trail of devastation after the cyclone made landfall in Puri on May 3. The brute Fani had also ripped apart the flag atop of the court.
The city plunged into darkness with no power, which also hit water supply. Telecommunication and internet services have also been badly hit since May 3.
The court will remain closed till May 10 and start functioning from May 13 since May 11 and 12 are holidays.
