Cuttack: A havildar of the Odisha Special Armed Police (OSAP) 6th Battalion was found hanging inside the barrack at OMP square in Odisha’s Cuttack city on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Trilochan Sethi of Jajpur district.
According to sources, he was found hanging from a towel inside the barrack. The incident is suspected to have taken place last night when one one was present at the barrack. However, it is unclear whether it is a case of suicide or murder. “The exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained,” the commandant said.
On being, Chauliaganj police reached the spot and sent the body for a postmortem.
