OSSF Jawan Tests Positive For Coronavirus In Odisha’s Ganjam

Ganjam: A jawan of the Odisha Special Striking Force (OSSF) has tested positive for the COVID-19.

He was on patrolling duty at Temporary Medical Camps (TMCs) under Humma and Khallikote police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district, informed SP Brijesh Kumar Rai on Tuesday.

The district has reported 18 more corona cases in the last 24 hours.


 

The SP tweeted that the jawan has been shifted to Parala Maharaja COVID Hospital at Sitalapali for treatment.

“Salute to his dedicated service and wishing him for a speedy recovery,” he added.

The Odisha government recently engaged 470 ex-servicemen in OSSF statewide for a period of six months to assist police during the pandemic on a contractual basis.
