Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has extended the last date for submitting online applications for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 to May 9.
The online application process, which opened on March 26, was originally scheduled to clo
se on April 9.
The applicants have been advised to submit forms and make fee payments by 11:45 pm on the closing date to avoid any technical issues. Candidates can download admit cards for the exam from the official BSE website from May 15.
The exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 29 in two shifts – Paper 1 (for Primary level) from 9 am to 11:30 am and Paper-II (for Upper Primary level) from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
The OTET serves as a key eligibility criterion for teacher teaching positions in primary (Classes 1-5) and upper primary (Classes 6-8) in government and aided schools in the state, aligning with national guidelines for teacher quality standards.
