Bhubaneswar: A total of 1,22,895 seats have fallen vacant after the admission in the Plus II streams in Odisha for the current academic session was concluded.
According to the School and Mass Education Department, out of a total of 4,40,618 seats in 2032 Higher Secondary schools and Junior colleges, 3,17,722 seats were filled up this year of which about 20,000 were filled up through spot admission.
Of the total number of vacant seats, 67,295 are in Science stream followed by 29,289 in Arts 17,935 in Commerce, 4278 in Sanskrit and 5098 in vocational education.
