Pakistan Woman Writes To President Murmu For Mercy, Indian Citizenship: Report

New Delhi: Pakistan woman Seema Haider is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that she is not deported back to her home country.

Having requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath not to send her back to Pakistan in media interviews, Seema has pleaded President Droupadi Murmu for mercy at a time when there are efforts to deport her to Pakistan.

Seema, who entered India illegally through Nepal to be with her Indian lover Sachin Meena, has appealed to President Murmu that she be granted Indian citizenship, according to media reports.

Seema has stated in her petition that she has have been deeply influenced by Indian culture and traditions, Hindustan Times sister website Live Hindustan reported.

According to Seema’s lawyer AP Singh, she married Greater Noida resident Sachin in Nepal, and hence she is India’s daughter-in-law now, and seeks Indian citizenship.

Seema fell in love with Sachin while interacting with him online on the gaming app PUBG Mobile.

She claims to have escaped from Pakistan with her four children via Dubai and Nepal to arrive in Greater Noida two months ago.

Seema was arrested in Haryana on July 4 for entering India without a visa, and Sachin was also taken into custody for sheltering illegal immigrants. They were granted bail and have been living together in Greater Noida.

Seema has been under the scanner of Indian authorities, with Uttar Pradesh’s Anti-Terrorism Squad questioning her for six hours earlier this week.
