Pakistani Drone Enters Indian Territory; Read What Happens Next
Pathankot: A Pakistani drone was forced to retreat after being spotted inside Indian territory on Sunday.
BSF jawans, who saw the drone in Punjab’s Pathankot district, immediately opened fire in its direction.
“The drone which came from the Pakistani side was sighted at Dinda post close to Bamial along the Indo-Pak international border,” Pathankot Senior Superintendent of Police Gulneet Singh Khurana was quoted as saying by PTI.
On being fired at, the drone returned to Pakistan.
Khurana further informed that the drone hadn’t dropped any object inside Indian territory. “A thorough search operation was carried out at the site, but nothing was found,” he said.
Last December, a drone which had flown in from Pakistan dropped 11 hand grenades in a field near the international border in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district. The grenades were found in Salach village, about 1 km from the border.
