Mumbai: After nearly 9 years, Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan is making a comeback to Indian cinemas with a rom-com titled ‘Abir Gulaal.’
The actor, who was last seen in Karan Johar’s 2016 film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, will be romancing Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor in film.
Vaani took to her social media handle on Tuesday to share the teaser from the film. In the teaser, Fawad is seen singing the classic Bollywood song, ‘Kuch Na Kaho’ for Vaani.

Earlier, the filmmakers had shared the first-look poster from the film, along with a statement which read as: “Fawad has a massive global fan base, and we anticipate that audiences and his fans will wholeheartedly embrace this film, as it showcases him in his most endearing role yet. The chemistry between Fawad and Vaani is expected to light up the screen with their captivating performances and undeniable charm.”
“The film explores the journey of two individuals who unintentionally help each other heal, with love blossoming as an unexpected consequence,” added director Aarti S Bagdi.
Bankrolled by Vivek B Agrawal, Avantika Hari and Rakesh Sippy, the film is set against a picturesque London backdrop.
The film, whose shooting began on September 29, 2024, is scheduled to hit theatres on May 9.
