Pandian Asks Officials To Complete Puri Heritage Corridor Buffer Zones By Next Week & Focus On Matha Restoration
Puri: 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman V K Pandian inspected Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor Project during a fresh visit to the pilgrim town of Puri on Saturday. He reviewed queue management and traffic control around the temple for smooth and safe entry of pilgrims into the 12th century shrine.
Pandian reviewed various segments of the project for two hours from 7 am. He conducted a thorough review of the project’s progress, landscaping works, matha restoration, queue management system from Shree Parking (JBPC) & Marichikote to Dolabedi.
Some key decisions were taken and directives were given to the officials concerned accordingly. Pandian emphasised on substantial progress on Dolabedi restoration, Emar matha, Panjabi Matha, Uttarparswa matha and façade painting around the Parikrama.
He inspected and reviewed the landscaping done in different patches of south, west and north and directed officials to complete substantially the buffer zones and other landscaping zones on all sides by next week.
He stressed on completion of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), garbage chutes, shifting of sub-station on decided time.
Timely completion of the electrical works & shifting of utilities near Meghanad Pachiri was also emphasised.
Pandian also visited Jagannath Ballav area, Shree Marga and development of Pramod Udyan and instructed to expedite all works.
Among others, Collector of Puri; SP, Puri, and Managing Director of OBCC; were present.
