Bhubaneswar: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday shared tips with students to overcome exam stress during the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme, Tanmay Biswal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Konark, in Odisha’s Puri sought his guidance on eliminating cheating activities during an examination.

“Some students use their creativity for ‘cheating’ in examinations but if those students use their time and creativity in a good way they will achieve heights of success. Hardworking students get affected by those resorting to unfair means. To the hardworking students, I want to tell that your inner strength will help you progress in life. Therefore, never follow the path of people who pass by cheating or take shortcuts.”

Notably, a Class XI student of DAV-CDA at Cuttack Satabdee Mishra is attending the programme in New Delhi. Satabdee received a special invitation to interact with PM Modi from the Ministry of Education after she bagged the third position (classical dance category) in the recently concluded national-level Kala Utsav-2022 in Bhubaneswar.

She also attended the Republic Day parade at the national capital and would be there to witness the beating retreat on January 28.

While a record 38 lakh students have registered for participation in this year’s Pariksha Pe Charcha, 80 winners of Kala Utsav competition by NCERT and 102 students and teachers from across the country will witness the main event as special guests.

According to Education Minister, 20 lakh questions have been received and NCERT has shortlisted the questions on various topics ranging from family pressure, stress management, prevention of unfair means, how to stay healthy and fit, and career selection.

Notably, around 26,000 students, 5,000 teachers, and 1,200 parents from Odisha joined the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme online in April 2022. The students asked the PM about examination fear and stress while appearing for tests, expectations of family members from their wards, the impact of the new education policy on students’ lives, and other topics.
