New Delhi: Parineeti Chopra’s conspicuous absence from wedding festivities of cousin Siddharth Chopra, brother of Priyanka Chopra, had fuelled speculation about possible family feud.
A cryptic post on her Instagram story after she skipped Siddharth’s haldi ceremony and mehendi further fanned the rumours.
“We’re really on borrowed time. Choose people that choose you, and let everyone else be” read the post.
Curious fans started speculating that Parineeti might have skipped cousin Siddharth’s wedding festivities because Priyanka had skipped hers. Parineeti’s parents were, however, spotted at the mehendi and were seen in the inside photos shared by Priyanka.
Meanwhile, a section of netizens shared that Parineeti couldn’t be a part of the wedding festivities because of her work commitments, while a report suggested that she would be attending the wedding on February 7.
“She will attend it tomorrow i.e. February 7, and husband Raghav Chadha is also expected to be there. Parineeti has been shooting for her next film, which is why she couldn’t attend the previous ceremonies,” Hindustan Times reported, quoting sources.
The actor’s insta stories with the hashtag #filmwrap also gave a peep into the ongoing shooting. Deven Bhojani is her co-star in this film, which has not been announced yet, according to reports.
Siddharth got engaged to actress Neelam Upadhyaya in August 2024.
On the work front, Priyanka is touted to be a part of SS Rajamouli’s highly-anticipated upcoming film SSMB29 alongside Mahesh Babu.
