Park Utsav In Bhubaneswar From Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) will organise Park Utsav at seven locations on seven consecutive Sundays beginning tomorrow.

The locations are Indira Gandhi Park, Madhusudan Das Park, Biju Pattnaik Park, Mahatma Gandhi Park, Kharavela Park, Buddha Jayanti Park and Nicco Park. To ensure maximum participation of all age groups, the event will be held from 7 am to 9 pm.

Details of the events location and dates for implementation are as follows:

February 2: Indira Gandhi Park and Madhusudan Das Park
February 9: Biju Patnaik Park and Buddha Jayanti Park
February 16: Mahatma Gandhi Park and Kharavela Park
February 23: Nicco Park and Madhusudan Das Park
March 1: Indian Gandhi Park and Buddha Jayanti Park
March 8: Biju Patnaik Park and Kharavela Park
March 15: Nicco Park and Madhusudan Das Park

A detailed list of activities like wall painting of the park, storytelling, yoga, clay pottery making, entertainment, awareness campaign programme has been submitted by the event management agency.

Some other events to be included in Park Utsav are ‘Mo Safaiwala’ awareness programme by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) with the distribution of bags and leaflets, traffic rule awareness programme by the ACP Traffic and cycling awareness programme by the Bhubaneswar Urban Knowledge Centre (BUKC) with the distribution of leaflets.

A dedicated team of 10 people will be deployed in each park to safeguarding the park infrastructure like signage boards, park furniture, flowers, lighting etc.

To avoid traffic congestion, BDA will identify parking facilities while BMC will undertake cleaning of the parks.

For promotion and branding of the event, the event management company, Prelude Novel Ventures Pvt Ltd and BUKC will design the logo, banner and other collaterals. Besides, BUKC and Detour Odisha will use the platform of Bhubaneswar.ME for branding initiatives through social media like Facebook and Twitter. BDA will promote the event via Radio Jingle.
