Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education has declared Odisha Plus II results 2023. The overall pass percentage in Science and Commerce streams stood at 84.93 and 81.12 respectively, School & Mass Education Minister Sudam Marndi informed on Wednesday.
In 2022, 94.12% had passed Class 12th Science and 89.2% in Commerce.
In the Science stream, the percentage of girls, who cleared the exam, stood at 85.6 this year and that for boys at 84.28. Nayagarh recorded the highest pass percentage of 96.41 while Gajapati scored the lowest at 61.55. While 78,938 (42121 boys and 36,817 girls) of 92,950 students cleared the exam, 39,573 students secured first division, 24,257 second division and 14,852 got third division. A total of 358 students secured more than 90 per cent marks. While 291 schools saw 100 per cent results and two schools had zero results.
Commerce stream also saw girls outshining boy with a pass percentage of 83.87 against 79.52. Here too, Nayagarh scored the highest pass percentage of 93.9 while Boudh recorded the lowest at 55.55. While 12,121 boys and 7,415 girls cleared the exam, 7410 secured first division, 4543 got second division and 7492 got third division. All 94 schools recored 100% results. 102 students scored 90% and above.
Students who appeared for the exam can check the results at the official website— chseodisha.nic.in and orissaresults.nic.in.. They can get their marksheets in Digilocker from June 10 onwards.
The result of Plus-II arts and vocation courses is likely to be declared on June 8, according to reports.
This year, around 3.5 lakh students appeared in the Plus II examinations. The CHSE had started the evaluation of the answer sheets on April 10.
