New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Petrol and diesel prices in India continued to rise for fourth consecutive day on Sunday when those touched new heights.
According to the Indian Oil Corporation, petrol and diesel prices have gone up by 30-35 paise in the country. The fuel prices have been rising on the impact of international crude prices.
Petrol price in Delhi on the day stands at Rs 105.84 per litre and the diesel price is Rs 94.57 per litre. Similarly, petrol costs Rs 111.77 per litre and diesel Rs 102.52 in Mumbai.
The fuel prices have gone up for 10th time this month. Besides the last four days, the fuel prices witnessed a hike for five days starting from October 5. After a two-day pause on October 12 and October 13, the prices again went up across the country on October 14.
On Sunday, petrol prices crossed the Rs 110 mark in many cities in the country. Nashik in Maharashtra recorded the highest Rs 112.13 per litre, followed by Thane with Rs 11.57, Nagpur Rs 111.49 and Pune Rs 11.29.
In Bhubaneswar, petrol was sold at Rs 106.77 per litre and in Cuttack at Rs 106.33. Similarly diesel price increased to Rs 102.65 in Cuttack and Rs 103.15 in Bhubaneswar.
