COVID Vaccine Registration For 18+ To Open At This Time; No Walk-Ins Allowed

Bhubaneswar: Registration for the third-phase COVID-19 vaccination for people in the age group of 18-44 years will start from 4 pm on Wednesday.

The eligible beneficiaries can register using the CoWIN platform or Aarogya Setu app for the inoculation drive beginning May 1.

Here’s how to register:

CoWIN portal

1. Click on Register/Sign in yourself on CoWIN website
2. Add your mobile number for an OTP. Type the OTP on the site, and click on ‘Verify’.
3. Enter all your details, including photo ID proof, name, gender, and year of birth on the ‘Register for Vaccination’ page. Once done, hit ‘Register’.
4. Schedule an appointment by clicking on ‘Schedule’ next to the name of the person registered.
5. Add your pin code and click on ‘Search’. The centres in the added pin code will appear.
6. Select the date and time and click on ‘Confirm’.

Users can add up to four members through one login and can easily reschedule an appointment.

Aarogya Setu app

1. Click on the CoWIN tab present on the home screen.
2. Select ‘Vaccination Registration’ and enter your phone number. You will receive an OTP. Enter the digits and proceed to verify yourself.
3. Enter all details, including photo ID proof, name, gender, and year of birth, on the ‘Register for Vaccination’ page and click on ‘Register’.
4. Click on ‘Schedule’ to fix an appointment.
5. Add your pin code and click on Search. The centres in the added pin code will appear.
6. Select the date and time and click on ‘Confirm’.

The Odisha government had earlier announced free vaccines for all above the age of 18.

The state has ordered 3.77 crore doses of Covishield at Rs 400 per dose and 10.34 lakh doses of Covaxin at Rs 600 per dose for 1.93 crore people in the age group of 18 to 44 years. Covishield will be administered to the people across the state except the areas coming under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

On Tuesday, officials were directed not to use COVID-19 vaccines supplied by the central government for this age group of population.
