Mumbai: Mumbai Police said on Friday that YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, against whom several cases have been filed for his obscene comments on a reality show, has been unreachable, with his phone switched off and his residence being locked.
Ranveer landed in trouble over his ‘watch parents have sex’ remark on Samay Raina’s ‘India’s Got Latent’ show.
After Ranveer skipped the second summon to appear for questioning at Khar police station, cops tried to contact him, but in vain.
Earlier in the day, Ranveer Allahbadia — popularly known by his online moniker ‘BeerBiceps’ — approached the Supreme Court seeking relief against multiple FIRs filed against him in different states.
In the petition, filed in the apex court through his lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud, Ranveer sought the consolidation of FIRs against him. He also applied for an anticipatory bail, seeking protection from any coercive action fearing a possible action by Guwahati police, who has also summoned him.
Ranveer had earlier urged Khar police to record his statement at his home. However, police turned down his request and asked him to appear before them at Khar police station.
