Phulbani Records Season’s Coldest Night At 3.6°C; Check The Night Temp In Odisha’s Twin Cities
Bhubaneswar: Kandhamal district in Odisha continued to shiver under intense ice-cold chill with mercury plummeting to 3.6 degree Celsius at Phulbani on Tuesday night.
While Phulbani saw the season’s coldest night, Daringbadi recorded 4.5 degree Celsius, Bhubaneswar Meteorological Department tweeted.
The mercury dropped below 10 degree Celsius at 17 places in the state. Jharsuguda and Sundargarh recorded 6 degree Celsius, followed by Keonjhar and Sonepur at 6.4 degree Celsius, Titlagarh (6.5), Bhawanipatna (6.8), Koraput (7), Boudh and Angul at 8 degree Celsius each, Hirakud (8.4), Balangir (8.5), Sambalpur (8.6), Talcher and Nayagarh at 9 degree Celsius and Chandbali (9.7).
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 10.1 and 10.6 degree Celsius, respectively.

According to the MeT office, the minimum temperature is likely to remain below normal by 5-6 degree Celsius in interior Odisha and 4-5 degree Celsius in coastal Odisha during the next 3 days.
Isolated cold wave condition is very likely to prevail in Angul, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Cuttack and Khurda during the next 24 hours.
Similar conditions are expected to prevail in Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Kandhamal, it added.
