Bhubaneswar: The physical classes for Class VI and VII in Odisha began on Monday.
According to the SOP issued by School and Mass Education Department, classes for these students will be conducted between 9.30 am and 1 pm. The students will attend classes following all the COVID guidelines. It is mandatory for all students to wear a mask, maintain social distancing and sanitise hands regularly.
Along with classroom teaching, online classes will be also be conducted for these students.
At places, where the COVID infection rate is high, the district collectors can decide on whether or not to reopen the schools.
Notably, classes are being reopened in a graded manner in the state and teaching in physical mode is continuing for Class VIII to XII.
Classroom teaching for Class XI and VII began on October 21 and October 25, 2021, respectively. Classes for students of X and XII had resumed from July 26, 2021.
