Mumbai: Actor Jagesh Mukati, who played Lord Ganesha in the television series ‘Shree Ganesh’ breathed his last on Wednesday. He was only 47 years old.
As per reports, the actor was suffering from a breathing problem and was hospitalised in CritiCare Hospital, Juhu, Mumbai for over a week,
On Wednesday, he suffered from an asthma attack and was put on a ventilator, following which he kicked the bucket.
Jagesh’s friend, actor Sanjay Goradia told The Indian Express, “Jagesh had asthma and obesity-related health issues for many years. He was working out and dieting, but then the lockdown began, and he couldn’t continue his work-out. So, his asthma started getting worse. Last week, when he got breathless, he was taken to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai. His oxygen level was low. He was tested for COVID-19 because that’s the protocol. His test result came negative.”
“Yesterday, suddenly he got an asthma attack and was kept on a ventilator. Later in the day, he passed away,” added Sanjay.
Jagesh made us laugh in his role in the telly show ‘Amita Ka Amit’. He had worked in several movies including Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ and Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’. He was a well-known actor in the Gujarati film industry too.
