Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court on Thursday dismissed a PIL seeking waiver of fees by private schools during the lockdown period.
Dismissing the petition, the court said that the state government had already issued a directive on deferment of school fees on April 9 and therefore no further order was required in the matter.
Notably, the R
ajasthan government had directed schools to defer the payment of fee for three months and not to strike off the name of any student on account of non-payment of fee during this period.
In a similar case, the Supreme Court had dismissed a petition by students of private colleges seeking fee waiver during the lockdown.
