Bhubaneswar: Classes for Plus II first-year students for the 2022-23 academic session commenced on Thursday at higher secondary schools across Odisha. Beginning Thursday, induction classes will be held till September 24.
The order was issued by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE).
“Induction Class for Class-XI students is to be conducted at your Higher Secondary School from 22nd to 24th September, 2022 in order to accustom the freshers about your institution,” DHSE director Raghuram R lyer said in a letter to principals.
The schools have been asked to hold separate stream-wise induction classes, which will include welcome address by the principal or a senior faculty, brief introduction of the institution and self-introduction by subject teachers.
Besides, information on syllabus, exams, question pattern, time-table and rules and regulations, including those against ragging, will be shared with the students.
Around 3.7 lakh students have taken admission so far.
Filling up of forms for the second phase admission will continue till September 27. The merit list for the second phase will be published on October 1. Admission will take place between October 11 and 13. The admission process will be over by October 22.
The seat strength for this year is around 5.07 lakh.
