Bhubaneswar: A Plus II student was found hanging inside hostel room of the Rama Devi Women’s University in Odisha capital on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Pragyan Mohanty, Plus II second year Arts student of Rama Devi Women’s Junior College and native of Rayagada district.
According to sources, Pragyan was in her room since she had no examination scheduled for the day. She was later found hanging from the ceiling fan with a dupatta.
On being informed, Saheed Nagar police reached the hostel and recovered a suicide note from the room. An investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to her death.
