Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah will attend Mahila Morcha’s three-day Rashtriya Maha Adhivesan in Puri slated for September 24, informed State BJP Mahila Morcha president Pravati Parida on Tuesday.
Notably, the BJP women’s wing programme will commence from September 23.
The party national president visit comes two days after that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state scheduled on September 22.
Shah had last visited Odisha on July 1 and advised party workers to strengthen party base at the grassroots.
In his address in the Odisha capital, he had said, “To achieve the Mission 120 Plus, you have to work very hard to strengthen the party base at the grassroots.”
He also reviewed the progress made by party state unit to achieve his ‘mission 120+’ in Odisha in the 2019 election.
As part of the preparation for the ensuing elections in Odisha, Shah said 21,000 booth committees have been formed till date and another 5,000 would be ready very soon.
In the review meeting, he also said the head of the Shakti Kendra and the heads of the 718 booths to visit each house in every 15 days.
The Prime Minister will be inaugurating the newly-constructed Jharsuguda airport during his visit to odisha.
He will also dedicate a new railway line of the Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) between Jharsuguda and Sardega in Sundargarh district. The railway line has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1,044 crore to evacuate 100 million tonnes of coal from Basundhara area of MCL in Hemgir block.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also dedicate two new coal mines in Sundargarh district. He will also be laying the foundation stone for the renovation of the Talcher Fertiliser plant.
