Singapore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, addressed a gathering at Marina Bay convention centre and hailed the start-ups emerging in the country.
“Indian start-ups are flourishing and are now third largest in the world,” adding that there has been a sharp rise in Foreign Direct Investment in the last three years.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the MUDRA scheme, which provides loans to small start-ups.
“Loans worth 120 million have been extended to people, of which 74 percent has gone to women,” he said.
While addressing an event “Anushasan” about the “warmest and closest” bilateral relations between the two countries.
“The course of India’s centuries-old Silk route through Singapore. The human link is deep and enduring.”
