Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to former Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik, who is recovering from dehydration at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
The Prime Minister enquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery. Modi also advised Naveen to take adequate rest and expressed his desire to meet him in Delhi once he recovers fully.
The Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly has been undergoing treatment at SUM Ultimate Medicare since August 17 evening. Its last medical bulletin, the hospital had said that his health condition is stable and he is responding well to treatment.
In a video message on Monday, Naveen thanked people of the state for their good wishes and said the hospital staff were taking “wonderful” care of him. He asked his anxious supporters to meet him at Naveen Niwas after he is discharged from the hospital.
