New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who returned late on Sunday night from his six-day visit to the US and Egypt, will resume his domestic engagements on Tuesday.
The PM will embark on a day-long visit to Madhya Pradesh, one of the five states where assembly elections are due in December, during which he will flag off five Vande Bharat trains and launch the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission, the PMO informed in a statement on Monday.
Modi will reach Bhopal’s Rani Kamalapati railway station around 10.30 am to flag off the latest Vande Bharat services which will serve Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Bihar.
The new Vande Bharat Express trains will run between Rani Kamalapati and Jabalpur; Khajuraho, Bhopal and Indore; Madgaon (Goa) and Mumbai; Dharwad and Bengaluru; Hatia and Patna.
These will add to the fleet of 18 Vande Bharat Express services which ae already operational in different parts of the country.
The Vande Bharat trains cover cities which are around 500 km apart.
