New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the BAPS Mandir, the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, during his two-day visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 13-14.
It will be the PM’s seventh visit to UAE since 2015 and third in last eight months, indicating the escalation of strategic ties between the two countries.
Besides holding bilateral talks with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Modi will be the guest of honour at World Government Summit 2024 in Dubai and will also address the Indian community in UAE at an event in Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi.
According to Ministry of External Affairs, following the Prime Minister’s first visit to UAE in August 2015, bilateral relations between the countries have transitioned to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with accords like Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and Local Currency Settlement (LCS) System signed.
