Patna: Lalu Prasad Yadav is of the opinion that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is worried about losing next year’s Lok Sabha election and looking for a sanctuary abroad.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal president was responding to Modi’s recent ‘Quit India’ jibe when the PM accused newly-formed Opposition bloc ‘INDIA’ of corruption, nepotism and appeasement politics.
“It is Modi who is planning to quit… This is the reason why he is visiting so many countries. He is looking for a place where he can cool his heels and enjoy pizzas, momos and chow mein,” the former Bihar CM and Union minister quipped.
The comments of Lalu, who is known for his sense of humour and wisecracks, was greeted with peals of laughter among mediapersons.
The ailing septuagenarian, who has served jail time following conviction in a fodder scam case, was making one of his rare public appearances at a function organised by his elder son and Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav.
