Police Aid Post Opens Near ITER In Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: SK Priyadarshi, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack on Saturday inaugurated a police aid post near the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) at Jagamohan Nagar in Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the occasion, Priyadarshi said the area needed a police aid post for maintenance of law and order, crime control and proper traffic management as around 10,000 people lived in the area and thousands of
students studied in ITER. The police aid post is set up by the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police.
Prateek Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar and Prof Manojranjan Nayak, Founder President of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University were present. ITER is the faculty of engineering and
technology of SOA.
Priyadarshi also thanked SOA for extending all assistance in the establishment of the police aid post. Priyadarshi, Singh and Prof Nayak also planted three saplings to mark the occasion.
PK Rout, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar Zone-4, Dayanidhi Nayak, Inspector In-charge of Khandagiri police station, Prof Manas Kumar Mallick, Director of ITER, Prof Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean (Students’ Welfare), Jugal Kishore Das, SOA’s Chief Vigilance Officer and Director (Resources), Sanjay Kumar Sahu, SOA’s Director, Legal Services, Biswajit Samantaray, In-charge of the newly inaugurated police aid post, Satish Samal, Assistant Professor, ITER and senior citizens of the area, were present on the occasion.
