Dhenkanal: A couple on Wednesday landed in trouble for leaving their baby girl inside a locked car in Odisha’s Dhenkanal town.
Dhenkanal Town police has registered a case against the duo under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act and Sections 342 and 34 of the IPC.
The one-and-an-half-year-old baby girl was reportedly rescued in an unconscious state by locals and security guards, who had to break the window after spotting the baby inside the locked car.
The baby was immediately taken to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.
The parents of the baby, who were in the hospital for ECG, said that they had left the baby inside the case as she had fits.
They are residents of Ananda Nagar in Dhenkanal town.
