Police foil loot bid, arrest 3 in state capital

Bhubaneswar: Police on Tuesday foiled a loot attempt with the arrest of three members of a dacoity gang from Forest Park here.
They were identified as Gourahari Sahu (21) of Rangani Sahi, Makara Maharana (30) of Kantabada and Sagar Kumar Sahu (30) of Satabdi Nagar. A pistol, two mobile phones and other weapons were seized from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Capital Police swooped on the robbers while they were plotting a dacoity in a house located at Forest Park. Two more members of the gang managed to escape during the raid, reports said.
