Police Probing All Angles In Motivational Speaker’s Death Case In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A day after motivational speaker Aditya Das was found dead near the Lingaraj Temple Road railway station here under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday, police are yet to make any breakthrough in the case.

Though Government Railway Police (GRP) did not rule out murder of Das, they were making initial investigation as a suicide case. SP, Railways, Cuttack Ashok Kumar Biswal said the investigation was on and they were probing all angles.

The police were interrogating the family members, friends, relatives and associates of the deceased. They were also enquiring about Das from the people who had last seen him sitting beside the railway station on the fateful day.

The SP further said the cause of death could be ascertained after getting the post-mortem report. However, they suspected it to be a suicide from the statements of his family members including the wife that he was depressed for some time.

At the same time, they were looking into the threats received by him for his social activities, Biswal said.
