Bhubaneswar: The poll manifesto of the Odisha Congress for the ensuing Assembly elections will be released by the end of February next year.
Presiding over the second PCC Manifesto Committee meeting at the Congress Bhawan here on Thursday, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik advised the committee to finalise the manifesto by the end of February.
Patnaik advised the committee to prepare the manifesto taking into account the experience and suggestions of the local people and leaders in various areas of the state and seek the opinion of the people through the committee’s official web portal. He also asked the committee to take the opinion of the experts.
The AICC on December 6 had announced a 10-member Manifesto Committee of the OPCC with Behera as its chairman in place of Srikant Jena. Apart from Behera, the eight other members of the committee are leaders of the Opposition Narasingha Mishra, former OPCC president Prasad Harichandan, Sudarsan Das, Shyam Sundar Hansda, Meri Surin, Natabara Khuntia, Liaqat Ali and Satya Prakash Nayak. Besides, Bismay Mahapatra has been appointed as the convener of the committee.
