Bhubaneswar: Taking note of the exponential damage rendered by Cyclone Amphan in West Bengal, the Odisha government has decided to send a team of the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and Fire Service personnel to the assist the neighbouring state in post-cyclone restoration work.
Informing this to the media here on Saturday, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena said that 500 ODRAF and Fire Service personnel will assist the neighboouring state in the restoration of road communication by cutting the trees and cleaning the road in the most affected areas.
“The team which has left for West Bengal will begin work from tomorrow morning,” the SRC added.
