Pragya Unwell, Gets Day’s Breather From Court Appearance
Pragya Singh Thakur was on Thursday granted a day’s exemption from appearing before a special Mumbai court in the 2008 Malegaon blast case after she was admitted to a hospital because of high blood pressure.
The court, however, directed the BJP MP from Bhopal to be present on Friday or face consequences as no supporting medical documents were submitted in this regard, an Indian Express report said quoting PTI.
The court’s observation came a day after special NIA Judge V S Padalkar rejected Thakur’s application for exemption from an appearance this week, in which she had stated that she has to complete formalities relating to Parliament.
