Bhubaneswar: In a remarkable achievement, Prasuci Panda from Odisha’s Berhampur has been crowned Miss Teen Universe India 2026.
Prasuci was accorded a grand welcome on her first visit to Bhubaneswar on Sunday after winning the prestigious title. A grand felicitation ceremony was held at a hotel in the capital city, where a host of dignitaries gathered to congratulate Prasuci, a Class II student on her win.
“Returning to Bhubaneswar for the first time after winning the Miss Teen Universe India 2026 title is an incredibly emotional moment for me. Representing India on an international stage is both an honour and a great responsibility. This is only the beginning of my journey, and I know I have to work even harder to make my parents, my state of Odisha, and my country proud,” she said told the media.
The title has earned Prasuci the opportunity to represent India at the international pageant next year. She captivated the judges with her confidence, poise and stage presence, clinching the coveted title in her maiden appearance at a national beauty pageant.
The success has placed Prasuci among India’s emerging youth ambassadors on the international pageant circuit. Miss Teen Universe India is one of the country’s premier beauty pageants for teenagers, offering winners professional training and mentorship before they compete on the world stage.
Prasuci said she began training in April, devoting herself to improving her runway walk, communication skills and overall stage performance.
“I will be representing India on the international stage next year. Overall, this pageant was a very wonderful journey for me. It was a really great journey for me. I felt really good about this pageant. I started preparing for it in the month of April, which involved a lot of preparation, like working on my pageant walk.”
Her victory is even more impressive considering it came in her very first national pageant, underscoring how focused preparation and consistent grooming can translate into success.
The competition featured talented participants from across India, making the race for the title fiercely competitive. Prasusi emerged victorious over 37 contestants from different parts of the country to secure the Miss Teen Universe India 2026 crown. National beauty pageants evaluate contestants on several parameters, including confidence, personality, communication skills, stage presence and overall presentation, making each stage of the contest both challenging and demanding.
With the national title now in hand, Prasusi has shifted her attention to the international competition, where she will represent India.
