Bhubaneswar: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sushil Kumar Lohani on Tuesday said that preparations for the ensuing bypoll to Pipli Assembly constituency have been completed.
Briefing the media here, he said that the list of the booths and the polling staff has been finalised.
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of voters in each booth would be limited to less than 1000. Anticipating a large voters turnout, additional booths have been identified, he added.
The bypoll to Pipili constituency was necessitated following the death of the sitting BJD MLA and former minister Pradeep Maharathy on October 4 last year.
