President Kovind Ends 2-Day Visit To Puri, Leaves For Vizag From Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: President Ram Nath Kovind left for Visakhapatnam after two-day visit to Puri on Sunday afternoon.
The President along with his family had arrived in Bhubaneswar on Saturday and flown in a special IAF helicopter to Puri. They visited Jagannath temple and had darshan of the deities on the same day.
After staying in the Raj Bhavan overnight, the President inaugurated the three-year long celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Srimad Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad, the founder of Gaudiya Math and Mission at A function organised at Saradhabali on Sunday.
After delivering his speech at the function, the President and his wife Savita Kovind travelled on road back to Raj Bhavan where they had lunch and then flew back in the chopper to Bhubaneswar.
At Bhubaneswar airport, Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Police DG Sunil Kumar Bansal and other senior officials were present to see him off.
Kovind and his family boarded a special Indian Air Force plane to go to Visakhapatnam. The President, who is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces, will witness the Fleet Review and Flypast in Vizag on Monday.
