Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay on Wednesday reviewed security arrangements in connection with the proposed visit of President Ram Nath Kovind to Odisha.
At a review meet through video-conferencing Abhay directed the officials concerned to enhance security in Bhubaneswar, Puri, Rourkela and Jharsuguda and strictly enforce the COVID-19 guidelines.
The meeting was attended by ADGP (L&O), Director Intelligence; Commissioner of Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack; Joint Director, Intelligence Bureau; IGP Western Range; Rourkela; DIG-Central Range, Cuttack; SP of Rourkela, Puri, Jharsuguda and DCP Bhubaneswar attended. Officials of Bhubaneswar Airport Authority and CISF also attended the meeting.
The DGP was informed about the security arrangements made at all the locations in Rourkela and Puri as well as and Raj Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. The officials of airports in Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda informed about the measures taken for safety and security of President.
The DGP emphasised on strict access control and anti-sabotage check with adherence to all Covid protocols.

District police heads apprised on Abhay about arrangements being made to ensure fool proof security during the President’s visit.
On Monday, the Chief Secretary had reviewed security arrangements and made RT-PCR test for COVID-19 mandatory for all officials and people likely to come in contact with the President.
