President, PM & CM Wish Odisha On Statehood Day
Bhubaneswar: President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday wished the people of the state on the occasion of Utkal Diwas.
All these leaders tweeted in Odia, the sixth Indian classical language.
Taking to Twitter, the President of India wished the state a bright, prosperous and peaceful future.

Besides wishing people on statehood day, the Chief Minister of Odisha paid homage to personalities who were part of the journey that led to the formation of Odisha as a separate state.

Odia communities across the country and abroad are celebrating Utkal Diwas to mark the formation of Orissa, now Odisha, on a linguistic basis in 1936 when it was carved out of the combined Bengal-Bihar-Orissa province.
