Dhenkanal: A priest of a prominent temple in Dhenkanal town has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
According to sources, the district administration and the endowment department sanitised the temple after the test report confirmed that he had contracted the virus.
Inspector, Endowment Department, Pradyumna Tripathy told the media that the infected priest was present in the temple on Rath Yatra and Bahuda Yatra. However, the 70-year-old was not given any charge as he was not keeping well.
The process of contact tracing is underway, he added.
