Mumbai: After a brief hiatus, global icon Priyanka Chopra is making a comeback to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s ‘Varanasi’, which also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

f reports are to be believed, then Priyanka is charging a whopping Rs 30 crore to portray Mandakini in the film.

The astronomical fee has helped Priyanka surpass Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt as the highest-paid Indian actress.

Following the grand title unveiling event of ‘Varanasi’ in Hyderabad on Saturday, Priyanka took to her Instagram handle and shared a video featuring some behind the scene (behind the scenes) moments from the grand event.

In the BTS clip, Priyanka is seen rehearsing Telugu and later admitting that “it’s more difficult to speak Telugu in front of a live audience than in a movie.”

Praising the actress, producer KL Narayan said, “Priyanka Chopra, being an Indian actress, she went to Hollywood, she got fame, and she changed the dimensions of the Indian film industry. She did all this with her talent and hard work. Thank you, Priyanka, for accepting to be our heroine of this film.”

Before heading to Hyderabad for the ‘Varanasi’ event, Priyanka headed to Goa to unwind after a hectic schedule.

On Tuesday, the actress took to her Instagram handle to share pictures from her relaxing Goa vacation.

“A few healing days in one of my most favorite cities in the world. Goa is exceptional in every way. From its hospitality, to its people, to the food and the kindness in its very culture. She can be whatever you need her to be,” she wrote along with the pictures.

She added, “To playing carrom with friends. Lost many times, clearly need more practice.”
