Mumbai: Bollywood’s ‘desi girl’ Priyanka Chopra migrated to Hollywood after facing discrimination in the industry because of nepotism and camps.
The actress, who has appeared in several Hollywood films and American TV series, is now keen to return to Bollywood.
At the Red Sea Film Festival 2024, held in Jeddah, Piggy Chops revealed that she will be doing a Bollywood film next year. The actress further shared that she misses dancing in Hindi films.
“I take my roots wherever I go. It’s a part of my family, it’s a part of my upbringing. India has always been in my heart, Indian films will always be a part of my heart. I am very close to deciding on doing one next year, so keep your fingers crossed. Send good vibes that it works out and that I actually end up doing one next year. I really miss the dancing more than anything,” shared the actress.
Priyanka was last seen in the 2021 Hindi film ‘The White Tiger (2021)’, which also featured Adarsh Gourav and Rajkummar Rao.
The actress recently wrapped up the shooting of two Hollywood projects — ‘Heads of State’, an American action-comedy, co-starring Idris Elba and Jon Cena, and ‘The Bluff’, an action drama where Priyanka will be playing the role of a pirate, fighting to protect her family.
