Priyanka Gandhi Cancels Election Campaign After Husband Tests COVID Positive
New Delhi: Priyanka Gandhi on Friday cancelled her election campaign schedule in Assam, Tamil Nadu and Kerala after husband Robert Vadra tested positive for coronavirus.
Though she tested COVID negative, Priyanka decided to go into self-isolation.
The Congress general secretary, who had been campaign extensively in the states where assembly elections are taking place this month, took to Twitter to apologise to people for cancelling her programme. In a video message, Priyanka said that she is following instruction of doctors, who have asked her to be in isolation.
Earlier in the day, Robert informed via a Facebook post that he had tested COVID positive after having come in contact with someone who had contracted the infection.
