Bhubaneswar: Governor and Chancellor of Universities Hari Babu Kambhampati on Saturday appointed Prof Dipak Kumar Sahoo as the Vice-Chancellor of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Odisha’s Burla.
59-year-old Prof Sahoo is now serving as a Professor at the School of Engineering of Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). He has 14 years of teaching experience and has published numerous papers and journals on various topics. He helped six researchers get PhD degrees under his guidance.
Sahoo did his PhD in Civil (Structural) Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
This appointment marks a significant development in the academic leadership of VSSUT, and Sahoo’s expertise is expected to benefit the university.
