Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Monday conducted simultaneous raids on the office and houses of an assistant professor in Bhubaneswar for alleged acquisition of properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Vigilance sleuths also carried out raids against a junior accountant in the Supply Department in Bargarh district for alleged corruption.
The Vigilance officials raided the four-storied building of Dr Prasana Kumar Mishra, an assistant professor of mathematics at the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), at Khandagiribari, his native village at Kalupadaghat in Khurda district and his office room at CET. They also raided the office room of his wife, Dr Supriya Mishra, who is a contractual lecturer of bio-technology at CET.
In Bargarh, the anti-corruption wing sleuths raided the office and houses of the junior accountant at the district supply office, Kambupoani Mishra,
Till reports last came in, the raids were being conducted at four places, including the office room of Mishra, his ancestral house at Haladi in Sonepur district, his residence at Thikadarpada in Balangir district and a rented house at Khajuritika in Bargarh.
